I read somewhere in the Bible that “about dates & times” we shouldn’t pay too much attention - however… about the dates & times for the 2008 May Roundabout, we DEFINITELY want to be aware: 7-10 May, 2008 in Frankfurt
- Beginning with a bit of dinner on Wednesday, 7 May, 2008 @ 18:30 (6:30 p.m. for Americans)
- Ending with a spot of lunch on Saturday, 10 May, 2008 @ 14:00 (2 p.m.)
- The main topic of discussion will be CHURCH - & a few thoughts & questions to be pondering & discussing together over the next few months are - What is Church? What about the Church brings you joy? What about the Church do you struggle with?
Also - the dates for next November are available as well! 12-15 November, 2008 in Frankfurt
I spent this last week in Portland (Gresham, actually, if you’d like to get technical,) with Dan & Joy, Johannes & Anja, & Petra. We brainstormed & talked through - “What is Roundabout?” As a part of that, I have been commissioned to create this blog as a “hub” on the Roundabout…
What kind of hub am I talking about, & how does this work?
Forgive me if you’re a blogger, or if you’re eons beyond it & I’m a dinosaur in your world - blogs provide one way for a people to build community, without any regard for their physical, geographical location. We can “write down” thoughts & ideas, pains & sorrows, joys & celebrations; post pictures; comment on & interact about what someone else has written… I hope you see that the “blog” is just what I described earlier - a hub, a spoke on the Roundabout to stimulate thought, interaction, community, friendship, courage, & faith.
